I have had several calls from this number. Same thing, long overdue debt I "only paid interest on". Could not tell me the name of the creditor that sent them this debt "all I know is it's a .com service". Said I would be hearing from the court, gave me a case number etc. I asked for a number our lawyer could call to receive information. She gave me a number and hung up. I tried the number she gave me, and it is a number not in service! I blocked this number from our line, and now the same lady is calling from a different number. I believe this is SPAM, and very threatening.
I got another call from this number with a different call back number. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and I wonder if that is why they had a different call back number.
They called me this morning. It is my pay-as-you-go cellphone. I cannot and do not answer these calls. Thanks previous people. I have a listing(s) now called DON'T ANSWER in my cellphone. When a call comes into that field, I just select IGNORE after seeing DON'T ANSWER. But, this time they left a message in my voicemail. Same thing...calling voicemail still costs me money. I have to delete the voicemail without listening.
Not much help from me, but at least I know what the story is.
Got an automated message from this number saying they had "very important business with me" and needed a statement from either myself or my lawyer today to avoid further action. I've dealt with these a-holes before. I was dumb enough to give them my bank info before and miraculously got my money BACK but never again. It's a scam-sham whatever you want to call it. Ask them for their Debtor # and for a debt validation notice which by law they should be able to provide on a valid debt. They won't be able to do it.
I got another call from them. I like that they keep saying this is the final notice, yet I have gotten about 12 of these voicemails. I am not responding based on what people have said on here about how they are treated.
