Call from 207-221-0949 hit our landline at lunch time. No message left. We never answer calls from random strange numbers, especially at noon or supper time. That's the scam callers favorite time.
The CID shows Portland ME but the caller was supposedly from some veterans group. Where it shows a city name rather than a veterans group name I have to assume that it's likely a scam. Sounded like a computer generated speech as when I tried to break in he kept talking. I eventually just said put me on your do not call list. Apparently the computer handler heard that and pushed a button to have the computer say that they would put me on their do not call list. That actually has worked before when they were calling daily but the caller ID in those circumstances did show a Veterans Group name. The calls stopped after I made that request. Maybe I will get lucky again.
