Keep getting calls fro this, only it has a 1 in front of it like 1207 says "wireless caller" 207 is area code for Maine. But, a number from another area code wouldn't have "1" in front of it, on the caller ID, even if the 1 was dialed first.
Just called 3 times in the past hour.They hang up on the machine. I did answer it once (few days ago) and a recording started in how I had to call them, it was important, about my credit card. I don't have any credit cards. I figure if I answer it and get a recording they know I will answer and keep calling, but what is the point? If they want to sell me a new credit card or something, do they think calling over and over is going to want me to do business with them? Now when it rings and I see this I pick it up and hang up before the macine comes on. It's obviously a fake number showing, how do I get it to stop?
Constant calls from these jackals... Caller ID says "Cell Phone ME" and today alone they have called 3 times - most recent, now (Sunday 7:00 pm). I never answer as this "validates" your number as "real" - and identifies you as a prime sucker. Having a landline phone as part of a "bundle" means I get hundreds of calls a month from Mechanicsburg, PA, Osgood, UT, someplace in Oregon.... selling things, shilling for politicians, cancer, sick kids, car warranty "extensions", etc. If I didn't have the HDTV/Internet/phone bundle I'd dump the landline. These people are the lowest forms of life.
