every so often, i have been getting very persistent calls from numbers with a (207) area code that show on my caller id. i don't pick up when i see these, although when I once accidentally picked up before seeing my caller id, it turned out to be some bank wanting to lower my rates or consolidate my loans or that type of thing. this is aggravating and annoying and illegal, considering i'm on a do not call list. WHERE do they get my phone #? and also, why are they so persistent?! you'd think that after trying several times and getting no answer that they'd give up. but sooner or later, they try again.
