MAny calls from these people. If I press '2' to be taken off the list, they call back in a few minutes. If I press '1' and talk to a real person and ask to be taken off they either hang up immediately or one time started yelling at me.
Qwest is useless. They charge you $2 for a call trace to report the call to authorities and you have to do this three times before they will do anything. Obviously these people have been in business for a long time so the authorities are doing nothing. Another example of the government protecting business and sticking it to consumers.
Same as other reported scams. Something about an offer to lower the interest rates on your credit cards, and it's a "limited time offer, so consider this your final notice", but I've had at least a dozen calls like this since November.
I pressed 1 to speak to someone, asked for the company name, and was told "Consumer Services". I told him I'd been called by these same people at least a dozen times, and before I could finish the sentence, he'd hung up.
I have caller ID and will not answer a call without a name. This number comes up several times a day for a week at a time. Then my number goes to the bottom of the line and a month later it starts again. I positively have no interest in whatever this person is selling, offering, or attempting to do. I am on the 'do not call' list already, so, obviously, this is company has ignored my wishes.
These people use multiple numbers: 207-436-1729, 207-431-2494, 207-431-2016 (all from Maine) to name a few for sure ... some poor sap (?) named Emil at the last number had been answering, but I think they are somehow spoofing numbers ... also think they are Russian, based on flood of BS "undelivered" e-mail I received after last post ... If I am wrong, then Emil can go straight to Hll. This is the actual transcript of my last received message (which I am now recording all of them for evidenciary purposes):
Hello, this is Jonathan with consumer services, calling in reference to your current credit card account. There is no problem with your account at this time, but it is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rates; your eligibility expires shortly, so please consider this your final notice. Please press one now, to speak to one our representatives, or press two to be removed. Thank you.
Problem is, I Do NOT HAVE ANY credit cards, so they can all just go F themselves! OBVIOUSLY A SCAM! Once got someone on the line, and as soon as I questioned them they hung up. A-HOLES! May they F'n rot in Hll! I am not to far from Maine, and if they are there, I'd LOVE to make the trip!
