My caller ID showed a 44 in front of the 2074641493. This +44 is the country code for the UK. This is probably the reason that if you call back the 10 digit number thinking it is US you won't get a valid phone number. My number is unpublished and on the do not call list. An FCC complaint will be fruitless for an overseas number. This happened to me about a Sprint Wireless "reseller" from India that called my house every night for two weeks after I spoke to repeated "supervisors", aksed politely, demanded insanely and pleaded to stop calling. The FCC contacted Sprint and their response was, "we didn't make the calls and we are not responsible for any of our resellers actions."
Didn't leave a message. Tried to call back only to hear recording that this phone number is disconnected or not in service. Tried to Google and use reverse phone directories to trace the call with no results. Obviously a shady number. Also - caller ID was unavailable. Intellus has a record of the number (or so they claim) and for only $14.95, I can find out who it is. They show the number is residential, though I highly doubt the number is originating from a person who is actually making a phone call from their home. The number is a Portland, Maine telephone number. This is all I can find out at the moment.
Reseponded by pressing 1, this company is "Card Services" (?) - operator/representative suggested the next time this telemarketing call is received to "keep pressing 2" in order to be removed from the call list. It should take approximately 30 days to be removed. Representative became very short with me and did not wish to provided additional information regarding the company.
