I just placed a couple ads on craigs list and I rec'd this a call from this number. The caller didn't leave a message on my answering machine. If you have ads on craigslist the wierdos will call you. I ive in Florida and this number was from carribou maine.
This was a call from an automated system threatening to remove our listing from Google if we did not talk to their operator. They did not have an operator on the line when the call was answered, which is illegal. Once I did get to an operator, he hung up when I asked his company name.
These clowns have hacked caller ID so this is not their real number. Reporting it is a waste of time because the FCC hasn't figured out how to catch these criminals. Just don't deal with them because THEY ARE CRIMINALS and will STEAL YOUR IDENTITY if you give them any information! They are trying to get you to give them your credit card number.
A "Do not call list" means NOTHING to these crooks. It isn't enforced anyway. It's a total joke!
