They called my Grandparents stating that they were from the US Treasury. They left a number to call back with a 204 area code. This is a scam. Please do not give them any information.
Called my landline on 8/6/15 @ 3:42pm heard some brief background chatter then they hung up. I never answer my phone if caller ID shows number I do not recognize. Sad state of affairs in this country when I have to pay for bogus calls that I DO NOT WANT. What is more sad is that even if they are caught some liberal judge will just give them a wrist slap and send them on their way to do it all over again. What a country!
This was a call from some group about veterans. Didn't recognize the groups name so I just hung up as I knew they were likely looking for donations. The call came across with a caller ID of Portland ME instead of an organization name so it was likely a scammer. Usually I will play head games with scammers but where this was about veterans and there was a remote possibility that it might actually be real I decided to disconnect. Disappointing as I was ready to play a battle of wits with another unarmed person. Wonder when the politicians will have guts enough to add non-profits, political calls, and surveys to the do-not-call rules. Oops, think I made joke.
