Scammers call me at work, I quit trying to argue with them and just stopped answering. They follow zero laws-this "debt" I owe is not legit to begin with, I filed bankruptcy so it wouldn't be collectible even it were legit, they threaten illegally, they don't cease and desist per federal law. They called me yesterday I didn't catch the call. They left a message I just tried calling back because of the vmail that was left. Any help on wheter I should respond. I mean it does sound scary and I've seen some the the responses but no one actually said they spoke with the lady calling. Please give advise

They told me I lived in Maine (I don't) and gave an address in my correct state that I have not lived at for 15 years......it's most assuredly a scam. I'm not sure how they got my # or address....but NEVER give these people information. If it is legit you would have been notified, in writing. This would never be a federal matter either, they won't "come to your work and arrest you" for a debt not paid.
