Got the same caller and told them to remove me from their info. This idiot said Microsoft said my APPLE computer had a problem. Puhleese! Reporting them everywhere. Same ID Taryn Cox - I'm on do not call, told him (I believe this man has an Indian accent) to remove from their list and he said he WILL NOT - I'm not happy.
Youe callers are hard core Indian and Pakistani scammer/extortionists. They ignore all US laws. Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on numbers you do not recognize.
Same idiot who has been calling for over a year with the same story and from many different numbers. Best not to even answer a call when you don't recognize the number. I block as many as possible, but with only 250 blocks available, I'm running out. Have blocked 131 numbers and 83 area codes. Half of the calls I receive are from my own area code. Unfortunately I can't block that one for obvious reasons. Most of the others are from Phoenix area codes and I have blocked those. Unfortunately, gov't can do nothing about the calls. The numbers used by the spammer are mostly cloned and not shown where they actually originate.
Got a call from this number. Caller ID displayed Taryn Cox. Caller was very hard to understand, spoke too close to the phone. Said he was calling about my computer, something to do with email, something to do with infected computer. I wanted to keep him on the phone to find out exactly what the scam was so I could report it. Said his name was David Miller but his accent was very heavy. Lots of background noise, and then someone else was on the call, too, saying she could hardly hear him, couldn't understand, what was his name, where could she call him back. He rattled off an 800 number which was very hard to understand. The woman on the other line said Thank you and hung up and that disconnected my call too.
