I had the same thing happen to me at work on the 1st of december this year, called work, asked me if i was so and so and then asked me if i lived at such and such address and i stated yes, then he proceeded to yell at me and threaten me and garnish my wages, then when i kept telling him not to call me again at this number he kept interrupting me and then he told me he was going to sue me so hard it would make my head spin and hung up..... first of all it was a debt collecter for chapman financial services in Coeur D'Alene, First rule of thumb, they have to tell you who they are, they have to tell you there trying to collect a debt (per the department of finance) whom i contacted right after this all happened... If this happens to you, you can file a complaint at finance.idaho.gov, also you will need to send a certified letter to Chapman financial service's at PO BOX 7100 Couer d'Alene, ID. 83816 and tell them that you want the debt verified in writting from them and that you do not wish to be contacted at and the number's, and that all correspondce shall be made in writing only....
