This number called the office this morning. The caller ID name was "BOISE" followed by six blank spaces and "ID". On the other end was robocaller Jennifer stating that our company needed to update its Google 411 Profile. (Aside: This is the first time I even heard of the "411 profile" in all of the Google robocalls we've received)
I decided to remain on the call and talk to somebody. In doing so, I learned the call came from Point Break Media. While a cursory search showed a claim this company is Florida-based, i could not confirm it as "Point Break Media" is not a registered business name per Florida's online lookup.
Also, the company's website was only registered in March of this year and contains no contact information other than an e-mail address and a toll free number. There is one very generic entry for that number here at http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-866-291-1356 . The domain whois is conveniently cloaked by Domains By Proxy. What legitimate business would hide their location?
Back to the call, the gentleman on the other end of the live portion seemed puzzled as to why I'd want his company to stop calling us with courtesy calls to update our profile, but I made it clear we weren't interested and didn't want any more calls.
