This one was by ONVOY - call them - tell them that their number is being used for fraud. They will investigate and tell their "client" and it should be disconnected. This number should not work anymore.
Do it for all numbers that these "IRS" folks are asking you to call back. Getting them disconnected will not stop them, but surely can slow them down and perhaps save one innocent victim.
Caller said he was from the irs & they have filed a lawsuit against me. Obviously a scam but can't something be done since they are leaving a callback number? Can this be that lucrative? I have received a few different calls with different names & numbers.
Received a call from this number claiming that they were the IRS and there was a lawsuit against me. I called back, as soon as I mentioned "scam" they hung up. I redialed and they hung up again as soon as I mentioned the name they originally gave as "Officer Daniel"
I got the same message from an "officer" at the IRS who said they were filing a lawsuit against me, He left the 208-843-8063 call back number. Rest assured, this is a scam because the IRS never calls.
