Caller had a very thick asian accent- could hardly understand- Said he had my name and social security number and we owed money- if we didn't pay he would take "legal defense" against me. Have no clue who or what this is about. So far I haven't called back waiting to see if there is another call
I received a call on my home phone from this number. The caller introduced himself as "Officer Kevin Watson from USA Cash Advance". He claimed I took out a payday loan in December 2010 and never paid a dime of it back. He recited my full name and mailing address correctly, but got my e-mail address wrong. He even had a case number for me and told me it was filed in courts in California. I asked him for his organization's mailing address and he gave me a mailing address in San Antonio, Texas. I told him to verify the debt by reciting the last 4 of my SSN. He claimed that he was not authorized to do so. I told him to stop calling me and I hung up the phone.
Then, I called from my cell phone a few minutes later. After 5 rings, sure enough, "Officer Kevin Watson" answered. I hung up without introducing myself.
A few minutes later, my cell phone rang. It was the same phone number. I answered. It was "Officer Kevin Watson" again, asking for another name. He politely said he was just checking to see if this was the number of someone who had left him a voicemail message. He recognized my voice and addressed me by my first name. This time, I decided to try to get under his skin. I asked him, "under what authority have you been granted the title, 'officer'?" I tried my best to hold back my laughter as he said, "the government of the united states of america". He even asked me if I wanted his badge number. He was really trying... bless his heart. I obliged. As he began reading his "badge number", he began cursing under his breath. He blatantly blurted out, "you f******g...", and when he said that, I immediately piped in with, "no authority figure contacting me via telephone would speak in this manner, so I suggest you cease harassing me via phone."
A few minutes went by, and I got a call from James Johnson from Blake Morris Law Firm. He first demanded my attorney's contact information. When I demanded he elaborate on the issue with me, he transferred me to someone else. The second person claimed that a complaint had been filed against me by an organization named Quick Pay, that I owed money on a payday loan I took out (they didn't confirm an amount or a date when the loan was taken out), that 3 charges were filed, and that lawyers would come to my home on July 28th to take me away to face charges. When I asked for contact information from him, he hung up.
I have since filed an official complaint with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (www.ic3.gov).

I received a call from this number today. The woman said she was calling from Guitar Center. I told her the person she was asking for wasn't available. She hung up.
