I get these calls all the time some come in as an Idaho phone number, some come as a New Jersey, or Louisiana phone number. Both have the same pre-recorded voice message about being placed on the do not call list. And all numbers are listed to TC Systems a large scale telemarketing agency (call centers in multiple states). So this time I have a moment free and I decide to answer the call even though I already knew it was "_______________ with a promotion with Home Security Systems, who has technicians out in my area and they want to put a sign in my yard". After responding to Tabitha's first question about why do I not want a free promotional sign in trade for a free security system, I repeated myself twice telling her I am not the home owner and cannot make such decisions for my residence. I asked Tabitha to disposition the call as a "DNC - which is call center slang for click the button on your auto-dialer call database that corresponds to "Caller wishes to be placed on our Do Not Call List". Tabitha refused, and also refused to disconnect the line, stated she 'cant't hang up on a call. When I informed her that she had called a business and we record our calls, (yes they actually call my business line) she laughed hysterically into the phone, then said well we record all of our calls too. I asked for her supervisor, she stated "me is the supervisor" I asked well then, may I speak with this supervisor named "Me". Tabitha replied with "I am the only supervisor here". She didn't want to provide her agent id number, she gave it to me incorrectly 3 times, different variations of the same "number". When reminded that the call was being recorded she said "Exactly it doesn't matter, you have my number in your recordings!. I explained that she had given me different variations of the sequence of numbers and that all three were different, and I need to get her correct Supervisor ID number. As she stated she was the only supervisor in the whole call center. She finally gave me the correct sequence of employee id numbers, finishing her sentence with "See I gave it to you correctly!". I thanked her for giving me the correct supervisor ID number, then asked Tabitha "Where do we go from here? I want you to place my number on your do not call list or disposition this call as an unqualified candidate, and move on". There is silence for about 30 seconds and then Tabitha asks in a sarcastic manner "So are you done yet?!". I calmly asked done with what? She did not answer to that question; she replied so why don't you want to have a home security system for free? I replied "I already told you twice I am not the homeowner and I cannot make that decision". She interrupted with "You didn't tell my why!". At this point (a good 20 minutes into the call) I'm growing frustrated, and mu husband can see this on my face. My husband asked if I was still on the phone with the same telemarketer from the home security promotional pitch. I gave my husband a frustrated sigh, yes. My husband pulls up the phone number and company online and then asked me to change the phone with him. I have worked in a few different call centers, inbound and outbound and I know general rules all legal regulations are definitely not practiced at this call center for GE Home Security Systems. In fact I'm quite sure that this call center for TC Systems, they are not training employee's properly and simply don't care what their employee's say to prospects. I remained calm, and respectful through out this 33 minute phone call before my husband took over and answered all of Tabitha's questions again, and repeated the same steps I went through, my husband states "look we've already done and said everything for her to do the right thing and place us on the Do Not Call List, she's (Tabitha) obviously just taking pleasure in messing with us because she has nothing better to do, while on the company time. Hopefully we can get in touch with TC Systems somehow to report on this, but we also think this could be a scam to get a homeowner's address and access to the home. People be warned!
I feel Bad you see this are the Only jobs left in the US telemarketing. And some sales jobs no Manufacturing because they are all going overseas, wake up America we need to stop boycotting this companys that have there manufacturing Out of US soil to avoid pating minimun wage .
