I think their crooks.  they think their the Great American Pickers!  If you had pictures taken of your property, they try to sell it to you or you can trade for it, they like antique stuff.  If you collect stuff, they will offer to give it to you in trade.  If you say no!  They call pretending to take surreys, to see if your home so they can rip you off or see what you do have.

Just got a call from this political group-- it was a recording that demanded yes or no answers with repeated "have you quit beating your wife?" type questions related to abortion, the health care bill and taxes.  The questions aren't intended to get a response but to disseminate false or misleading information.  The comments are highly sensationalized.  I don't know how long it will stay on the line since I lost patience.

I know that Do Not Call doesn't protect our phones from political groups but these calls are incredibly offensive.

The 208-991-1285 caller is the Americans In Contact Organization.  It's a Political Action Committee, or a private group organized to elect political candidates or advance the outcome of a political issue.  This recent round of calls is to identify conservatives within communities, specifically in attempting to sway moderates on the abortion issue by insinuating that tax dollars are being spent for the procedure, though the recent law passed for health reform and existing federal laws prohibit gov't funding for abortion.  
For all of you who are contacted, don't feel alone -  the AICPAC claims to have over 120,000,000 homes' phone numbers and they will continue to robocall your house.  Here's the company information for the advertising group (listed on the AICPAC website) running the calls:

Perhaps if enough people call Gabriel Joseph, the advertising group might reconsider ignoring the do not call list.
