I got the call too..wanting to buy dresses ( I have a webshop), I directed them to my website...except they didn't know my website and couldnt tell me where they got my number..very weird...then they hung up
Just make a spam contact in your phone and set to always hit voicemail. They might ring your phone once but not twice. I see calls all time from spammers in my cell phone call history that never made my phone ring.
I've received 3 calls in the past 3 days from this number. I don't answer, so have no idea who/what they are. I am SO frustrated about the lack of effectiveness of the 'Do Not Call' list. I would faithfully report infringements for about 2 years, until I realized it was simply a waste of time. Things have gotten WORSE, not better. The list has no 'teeth'. One seldom, if ever, hears of these telemarketers being punished for ignoring the names/numbers registered. I have all of my phones registered on the list, and yet I get, on average, about 6-7 telemarketing calls each day. (The 'record' was 22 calls in one single day!) Since I ONLY ever use my land line number when it's necessary to give a phone number, say for a purchase, I have no idea how they get the numbers for my 2 cell phones. I assume they use a 'robo dialer' or something along that line? At any rate, it's gone FAR beyond the point of simple nuisance. (I DO have my fantasies...LOL!)
