Several calls from this number over the last few weeks. Man with heavy accent identifies himself from the Windows Refund Group. He offers to refund $295 dollars; the cost of Microsoft Window. He goes on to say his company is moving to the UK .... I stopped him at this point. THIS IS A PHISHING CALL.
Call from a guy with a heavy accent. Something about him being from the Windows company and saying my computer was at risk for being hacked, people were hacking it as we were speaking and he was probably going to try to sell me something
Heavy accent, guy was tenacious. I asked him how "f*&king" stupid he thought I was, then he called me every name in the book. Called back 3x with number blocked. He said my Windows 8 PC was going to be part of a police investigation unless I did what he said. Funny, I don't have a Win 8 computer...
This person called me about my computer which was working slowly and said his company was receiving signals for the last week. He showed me how to fix and then let me know that I would need to pay him to have access to my computer. He has now locked up computer with a password to get in. He wanted to charge me $200-$500 for access to my computer.
Guy with a heavy accent says he's from Windows and wants to clear up hacking attempts onto my PC. I only use Mac and Android so that's hilarious. He must be new to scamming because he's terrible at it. I let him ramble for a bit then hung up.
