Scammers, trying to sell ou some kind of optimization package. They identify themselves as microsoft technical support responding to an error report. Very rude scammers.
I jus got a call from Kevin Doyle and he said that he was recieveing many error reports saying that I had malicious virus' slowing my computer down and he wanted to "help" me with it. So I wrote his number down and ended up on this page once I googled it. WHAT A SCAM!
I just got a call from one of these guys too, and they actually answer the phone. Can something not be done about this? Won't any agency follow up on it???
So called 'tech support' called to help me fix internal errors on my computer. Quite willing to walk me through the whole process. Adamant that he was not associated with Microsoft as if this would be the biggest crime.
When asked how can I contact him, was given this number with a detectable note of smug satisfaction.
I said thanks very much I will call you right back and then googled the phone number 209-227-6966 to verify what I already suspected, when I read about others reporting it as a scam.
same as the others reporting this scam on phone # 209-227-6966...very anxious to help me in my error problems and "infected computer"...I let them into my computer..they were able to clean up some problems..I need to go to my computer tech and ask some questions about letting them in..my mistake
