I received the same call as amber but I couldn't get somewhere to confirm it was real and I looked the number up while asking a bunch of questions and found out it was a scam. Luckily for me I didn't pay anything out. If it's too good to be true than it's a scam!
I got a call said they were letting me know the grant i applied for had been approved but that i needed to pay the processing/ application fee of 200$ once that was done they were going to release my grant and gave me 2 different money gram reference numbers because they said that there wasn't a store set up to pay out 8000. He then told me that i would be be receiving a call from another gentlemen who was with the bank which the guy calles from the same number and then tells me he is aaron wilson with the federal reserve and to wire money to a woman by the name of pauline dorthy rayer in connetcut whom is the managing director over the grants department. I know now that its a scam too bad i didnt find this out sooner. But one thing i do want to ad is that when you have been on a legit site like grants.gov or benefits.gov and have actually applied for grants still just to let you know its too good to be true. Just too bad theres no way that these people can be stopped for good because i did look up the information before hand and since applying didn't once think scam but i do know now. I don't normally just send money to anyone unless i know but like ibsaid now i do know.
