Same thing happened, they had me call the number back and wanted $250 first to transfer the 8k to my acct. told them I didn't have it. They wanted me to call back when I had it. NO WAY!!
Same here $7849 if I pay the taxes upfront with giving them $250, I don't think so. Although all of their information on me was correct, which is scarier. The man I spoke to said his name was Andy Leaper.
I did receive the Same call with an Asian accent lady gave me the info about the "grant" of $7849 and wants me to call no later than 25 min to # 2092662952 with this ID#NA203. and while I'm checking if is a scam or not she calls me again! Call call now because your money is on hold... and before that she's asking me this random questions about my age and how I want to spend my "grant" so I asked her for a website and she's like mmm uuhhhh Obama.en sorry oohhhh obama.in so yeah the website is under construction apparently. Anyway thanks for posting this I didn't even have the chance to call thanks to you!
I got a call from the same number but I was told that it was the federal government treasury department and wanted to give me 7,801 and how did I want to spend it!!! I told him it was a scam and I had posted that it was a scam today. He said we no scam it govt money. I told him it was and I wasn't interested. He was still talking when I hung. Since then he's called back three times!!!
They called my cell and left a message as I didn't pick it up as I knew it was a phone number I didn't know, just by the area code. They left a message stating they were the IRS and they were filing a law suit against me and I need to call them back @ the same number. NO WAY!!!
