Foreign (Asian Indian ) caller claims to be Max Smith from fast cash. Initial loan offer of $5000 with a payment of $250 per month. Could not afford this so they offered $2000 for $100 per month. They wanted us to purchase a green dot card and put $500 on it and give them the card number. We said we only have $200 they said that would work. I told my husband it sounds like a scam so we told the guy we would call him back so that we could look into this. Found out that advance-fee loans are illegal and that there are a lot of green dot card scams going on and being investigated. Do not do this, it is a scam.
