Just got the call... had to laugh, but know some people are scamed by this guy...the IRS could mean anything unless they say Internal Revenue Service and id who they want to talk to... They could be International Republican Survey. Issueing a warrant for your arrest for not registering Republican this is Scam! Don't get Scammed ...

The same thing happened to me except it was a recorded message. We all know that the IRS would not use a recorded message to tell you they are pursuing a warrant against you! Also, when I called back it rang at least a dozen times and the a man with a heavy Indian accent answered and said he was the IRS. I explained to him he was a scam and that the FBI was after him and then hung up.
They would not be perusing a warrant in any case. Arrest warrants are only issued by judges-- no IRS person has any authority to issue warrants. IRS has no arrest authority. Federal judges issue warrants usually only in cases where someone has been indicted by federal grand jury and has not voluntarily turned themselves in. Total scam. Most IRS disputes are civil matters anyway.
I got the same kind of phone call from a man saying he's from the IRS and he has a warrant out for my arrest. Complete joke scam, does anybody know how we can get this guy arrested?
Not possible. The callers are in India and Pakistan and as such beyond the reach of US law. You might consider a call blocker. Not perfect, but it can help.
