Same thing happen to me just couple minutes ago when I press "1" they told me to leave my name and phone number I went to search engine and I found that belongs to Jennette Dunkan leaving at S. Stockton St., in Lodi, California
The first three posts in this thread are almost certainly about phishing scams, where the scammer calls and asks you to press a key on your phone if you want to be removed.
Problem: that's not what happens when you press a key. What happens is your phone number gets registered with the scammer as a live phone number, one that can be shared with or sold to other scammers.
Rule No. 1: Don't answer calls from unknown numbers. If you do, DON'T press anything: just hang up.
Rule No. 2: NEVER call a number back.
Even just the act of answering a call from an scammer can get your phone number on the scam list. That's why Rule. No. 1 is so important.
