Spoke to them this morning, lie you no message, had opportunity to answer today, no one spoke then hung up, called bace, they claim to be a lawfirm investigating for a collection agency, and if I did not pay immediately I would be sued in court, when the finally relented to disclose specifics of account it turns out to be a bill paid once and scammed into paying a second time, when I explained this and told him I welcomed court action, I would bring proof of payment and will file counter action for harassment and lost wages, he (Johnathan gates) became beligerant and began twisting my statements, and threatening me with criminal action, and told me he would note in the account "party acknowledges debt and refuses to pay" I told him criminal action was prohibited in ca for payday loans, and I would file false report complaint against him personally, he yelled,then when he mistakenly told me the agency he was working for, turns out to be a collection agency in Yorba Linda that's been out of buisness for several years. Beware, they sound and act like street hoods, trying to elevate their game.
The party calling from this number - called three times on 9/23 (about 9am - 10am and 4pm) and calls come from this number almost daily....
I picked up once about a week ago and caller identified themselves as a charity for police and fire widows and orphans requesting a donation. I am not in a position to donate to any charity at the moment and told the caller I couldn't donate. They were very persistent to the point of being annoying - My 93 year old mother lives with me and has trouble sleeping...Invariably this caller calling and the phone ringing wakes her up. I want this charity to quit calling us. A US postal service request for donation would be far less disruptive to our household.
This number calls me everyday to tell me that I took out a payday loan and I have a docket case against me for a pay day loan that Ive never taken out. I ask that they send me the paperwork and they wont. They said i can settle the case, with a payment of 480.00 or two payments.
