This guy called me said his name was Nigel Brown with Indian accent from Law Office he called 3 times in a row today leaving messages The third message I could not understand a word of it.
Sounded threatening though. He also called me a few weeks ago saying he was with some company out of California Legal What an idiot! And don't ignore this call, When I get home from work, he called and my husband answers and tells him we know about this scam and to f..k off lol
I got the call today too! I made them mad cause I knew it was a scam and i kept laughing at them. I asked what county these legal actions where files in so i could confirm them myself (I knew they would have an answer) and they just said they be sending someone (couldn't make out the title of this person because of the thick indian accent) to speak with my employers. I told them they should totally do that and I look forward to it. He was very angry that I would speak to his this way. I encourage anyone receiveing these calls to treat them this way!
I just recieved this phone call and I let the answering machine pick up. A guy with thick Indian accent was saying he's calling from "Department of Law"( WTF!?) and it's urgent for my husband to deal with the fraud charge. If he call they have a way to help him. He tried to sound aurhoritive on the phone.
I called back the number and I think the same guy answered the phone. I was going to pretend like I'm a lawyer and ask what county this matter was filed in. He didn't understand what I meant. I asked the name he was calling for again, and this time he was way off. So I said "ooooh, this must've been a mistake. Could you take the name and phone number from your list?" and he actually said sorry and he'll gladly do that. We'll see.
I had to deal with eTourland Florida vacation/time share scam phone call last weekend, and I think those scumbags sold my information to these scums.
I am thinking about changing my phone number now.
Be aware of giving phone numbers and address information on internet. I usually change my digit on phone numbers or my birthdays too if it's some giveaways, free offer etc..
These people continue to call and harass me about a payday loan. I have never ever taken out a payday loan. I think these people buy or steal personal information and are trying to take advantage of people. They all have an Indian like accent, and are barely understandable. I am afraid they have stole my identity. They need to be stopped!
