received a call which was from 588-4 but voice mail said the IRS was filing lawsuit against me. no name was mentioned and the number was 209-435-9758. I didn't answer when I saw Caller ID being 588-4. I don't answer calls I don't recognize. Everyone I know I put in my contacts list. That way I know who's calls are either Scam or telemarketeers. This one is a Scam Call!!!!!. Please be aware of it. Trying hard to scam ppl outta their money. Hope the law catches up with them very soon. I know for a fact that IRS doesn't do phone calls. I'm sure it'll be a signature type letter that has to be picked up at the Post Office.
Got a call from AZ number 213-5884 who left a message to call 209-435-9758 about a law suit from the IRS about past taxes. I called the 209 number and got a Jeffery Parker who claimed to be an officer with badge number IRM 20117. He gave me a verification code of CP501 and for some reason wanted me to repeat all of the info he gave me. He seemed to get upset that I wouldnt repeat the info and insisted I did about six times. I sensed it was a bad call and told his so in about fifty choice words when he said I had no right to talk to him that way. I gave him a few more words and spoke my mind and he started to read me my rights as if I was being arrested. I then just hung up. I didnt give him no info but my FIRST name and was able to catch on to his scam but I am sure he does get through to others who might be at risk for even more. I also reported this to the IRS web site and hope they get these jerks soon.
i got an agent Henry Donell badge number IRM11026 with a case number etc...I didnt give him my name ... i made him tell me my name and then he asked if my name was correct... I just said ummhmm....I listened to all he had to say even asking if he needed me to go somewhere to pay...but the [***] said I had to use the EFPT to pay,,they must record your voice when you say it then hack into voice recognizable sites and steal you blind or get credit and land you in debt as technically it is your voice....[***]!!!! I actually was audited last year so I told him I would check with that agent and give him the case number to check for me. He literally threatened me with arrest! Bank account and house seizure~
Thanks for reporting this number. I received an unknown call on 3/8/17 but let the call go to voicemail. The message was cut off and all that I heard was the phone number and to please give them a call back. When I called back and heard what it was in regards to I just hung up. The app I use now True Caller helped me find out if anyone had reported the number 209-435-9758, and in leu making it easy to stop these degenerats.
