In the last few days my cell phone has been inundated with radom calls from numbers unknown to me.  I give my cell number to no one except the closest family.  I have also received a couple of texts: one saying I could get a payday loan and another saying I won a $1000 Visa Gift card.  The most recent annoyance came from this number.  It has called me 3 times today.
