I got a phone call this morning, stating that he was an attorney and there is a suit filed against me (meaning the business line he called). No attorney has an automated message they use to call people with case information. Please disregard and always do your research before disclosing any info over the phone. If they called you, it's a scam and don't call back.
I got the same call, annoyed me so I called the number to talk some crap......I only got a couple words in and they hung up, even blocked my number. Losers.
Left a threatening message stating I needed to get an attorney because IRs blah blah..I decided to have some fun and called back from my secure work phone. Was talking with my voice muffled and they couldnt understand me..he tried for a few minutes and then finally said "shut up" and hung up on me. I know childish but it did give me and my office mates quite a laugh.
Received same message. Called them back from my VOIP office phone as well, not tracable. Pulled same prank. He started saying "what? what?.....let me tell you, I am smarter than you because I'm a millionaire" and hung up. What a laugh. They deserve it. I am pretty sure impersonating a federal agency is a felony.
