I posted an ad on Craigslist here in Hawaii, but because of spammers I didn't post my phone number in all digits, instead using a combination of spelled out numbers and letters that looked or sounded like the number they represented. Shortly after posting the ad, I got a text message from this number in California. The response quoted my ad's headline verbatim, including the price info, and asked "*Item Description* ....still for sale? If so, shoot me a text preferably. Thanks". Clearly a scam, as I state in my ad NO TEXTS, and proof hiding the phone number doesn't work anymore.
