Same thing happened to me today but I one upped them. They first asked for my social and I told them I would only give last four digits they hung up. I then called back gave them a false name and social then they said thank you very much. I called back same name but have different info and same thing I copied the info from a movie jokes on them
Caller claimed to be from IRS. Needed to call them back on a time sensitive matter before action would be taken. Recorded message and a little hard to understand at times.
