I also got a call this morning and I was fishy about it because the man threatened to hang up in my face or do something to my face if I cut him off again. I immediately hung up and decided to investigate when the man I spoke to would not provide the name of the company he was calling from. I recently got a payday advance as well and that seems to be where they got their information from. I am happy I was not the only one and relieved to see that this is just a scam.
I also had the same threatening phone calls! His name was ” Ronnie Copper” which I know is untrue due to the fact the men could barely speak a word of english! Closing my acct and have notified my job so they are aware of this scam and the phone calls they may be receiving.
I got the same call from this number and the guy couldnt speak english that well. He said their was a lawsuit against me and started quoting a ssn. I said excuse me sir. He said what you cant hear, do you need me to fix your hearing. Lol I told him I can hear and if thats suppose to be my ssn, you looked up the wrong info. I havent took out a payday loan but wondering how he got my cell number and name. I was thinking maybe he got that information from career builder because I have a resume on their. Somebody need to stop them. Kind of scary if they actually had the right ssn. Whats really crazy, I tryed to return their call one day after five and the number wasnt in service but when I called during the day it was working.
