Received call from this number - CID read MEMBER SERVICES. Didn't answer. No message left. In less than a minute received another CID which read 972-184-5633 TEXAS.
Got the call. Didn't answer. No message. I suspect it might be the same guys calling to tell me my computer is sending out error messages and they can fix it if I give them access to it. Yeah, right.
All my accepted / known phone callers are entered into my onboard phonebook and recognized by name and number.. New / unknown callers are sent to VM for review. Callers determined to be undesirable are marked and blocked from further annoyance. That is my policy and seems to work incredibly well. It has become my SOP.
we get these types of call all the time and we were told not to answer the phone if we did not recognize the caller. what they are doing is spoofing. and one day you may find them using your number to make calls that appear as if you made them. we had this happen several times.
