I ALSO GOT THE SAME EMAIL, AFTER LISTING SOMETHING ON CRAIGSLIST.  NOTHING BUT A SCAM.  THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT SOMEONE HAS TRIED TO PULL THIS BUT WE'RE NOT THE !!!!!!! DUMB.  DON'T THESE IDIOTS HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO THAN TO TRY AND RIP PEOPLE OFF.  I'M REALLY THINKING ABOUT STICKING WITH EBAY AND DROPPING CRAIGSLIST.  I DON'T CARE IF I DO HAVE TO PAY EBAY AND PAYPAL,, AT LEAST I CAN'T GET RIPPED OFF.  AND EBAY PAYS CLOSER ATTENTION TO WHAT IS BEING LISTED THAN WHAT CRAIGSLIST DOES.  I'M REALLY BEGINNING TO WONDER ABOUT CRAIGSLIST.

I'd like to share a different version of it.  Sounds familiar???

I am located in Ohio but currently on a business trip to the UK. I just want to purchase the item for her as a surprise birthday present as this day is around the corner. I would also like to pay a.s.a.p I will be sending my mover to come pick up the item. but i hope that it is still in a very good condition.

I just got the same email! The first email i received look more legit inquiring about the listing. Then I get that one as a 2nd! I knew it looked fishy!

I got this same email from craigslist list, its sad there are scammers everywhere anymore.

I was contacted by this scammer as well! I knew it looked suspicious so I sent him back the email below, starting with "To whom it may concern". His initial contact to me is just below in his ssooo called name of "James Burrows" with his email address. He sent me the same email as the last person on this warning site. Some one needs to catch this individual before he does scam some body, especially in these rough financial times.


To whom it may concern,

I will only accept cash or certified postal money orders. Due to past problems with people coming to my home, I will not give my home address since I have a p.o. box. All post office money orders can be delivered to a p.o. box; you can send it certified U.S. mail with a return receipt by mail to my p.o. box. If you pay cash I will meet you at a public location that we can agree on. I have sold a lot of items on Craig’s list and this is the way I now do the transactions and I nor anyone else has ever had a problem.

If this will work for let me know by email but it is the only way I will do a transaction.
