This is an AMEX Collections agency that doesn't have current info, so be prepared for them to call your OLD number if you updated your info with a NEW number.
So I get this call about 3 times a day and every time I answer (I have a company greeting I answer with as it is a business number), they hang up. Ive never had a AmerX card and our company doesnt have one.
If they are trying to collect or get info, why do they just hang up when I answer?
Call came in from this number (registered as a cell#) but is animated - only get the last part of the call. When I wait on the line it disconnects. Have no clue why the call is coming to us.
this is not american express... i keep getting calls from this number and 623-492-6031 from Phoenix, AZ.
They have the wrong name and phone number they claim they are dialing.
I called american express from the number on the back of my card, and the cust. service agent told me to file a report with the police for these numbers.. i dont think the police can help, but these people sound very much like Amex, they even have the recording beep in the background, just like Amex.
Be careful not to share any info with this fraudulent company claiming to be AmEx
