Bob, you need to refresh yourself about the do not call list. Telemarketers who do not follow the dnc list are criminal scammers. They don't give a damn about the dnc list. The calls are usually spoofed and from overseas. The only thing you can do is block them.
I've received calls from 11 different 210 area code numbers that don't leave a message. It says I've won a vacation or something similar if I answer. I have also tried to block them on the cell and home phones.
Not long ago, I left my car at the dealership for routine annual servicing. And I hadn't gotten three miles down road in their loaner vehicle before I got a call on my cell from a guy who said, "Hello, this is Jason from the service department. Can you hear me?" I quickly figured out that it was a scam and hung up. But to this day I am perplexed. Was this a coincidence? Or did that dealership somehow make my number instantly available to scammers?
