Just received a call from "David Cooper" who works for the California Police Department. My caller ID read "911". I was really bored today so I wasted about 45 minutes of his time playing victim. I tried my hardest to get him to give me an address where I could send him a payment but he would not do it. He just wanted to receive funds through Western Union, Money Gram, etc... As silly as all this sounds, he has committed a number of felonies which is very serious. Hope someone can get him.
I just received this call from an Emergency number and someone with a very strong Indian accent. He was telling me that he had a warrant for me in NY. I explained to him he has the wrong person, then he got an attitude. Telling me I need to call a Officer Terry...something (couldn't understand due to strong accent). He gives me this number and tell me to call or he would send the police to serve the warrant. I told him do what he had to do, because I know he was trying to scam me. He insisted and then said he would do it. I hung up because I know 210 is a San Antonio number not a NY number. I also know I don't have any payday loans anywhere so I knew then he was full of it.
I find it funny that someone would call you to tell you they have a warrant for you period, but in another state..yea right. Also I have to call a number in a different city/state than what I reside in...and then for the number you call to be a voicemail sounding just like the person who called you at first...yea right. Something need to be done about these people trying to scam people. Especially because they are using Emergency lines to contact people.
I just recieved this call as well from an 911 number also someone with a strong indian accent also stating a warrent from NY took me a few time to replay msg to get what he is saying. So i called the number and guy answers "attonery and his name" couldnt understand him so i hung up on him. I don't understand how they are getting thru on a emergency number this is very sad.
ditto, ditto, ditto. This guy needs to learn to speak English. I can't even understand anything he say besides calling me by the wrong name and using the word police. What an [***]. Come and get me buddy!
