A Hispanic accented male telling me that my address is under Federal Investigation and I must " reach him back right away. Please call this phone number 210-390-9807 and Have A Great Day " !!!!! Really ? Would you like my SS #, my bank account #s, my maiden name, my mother's maiden name and my key code to get into my building at work TOO ?????? He's called 4 times in the past week.
same here got a message today on our answering machine from a Hispanic guy say our "physical address is being investigated" "lawsuit against us", etc, 210-390-9807. Sounds like robo-calling to every phone number in the US. It must be real because he said he was from the IRS and he wouldn't lie would he? :-)
So I get a call, from a real person with an Indian accent, telling me that my name and address are under federal investigation from the IRS and there is a lawsuit against me. Really? If the IRS was investigating me I'd receive something in the mail DUH!
Do I have a criminal lawyer? Why should I sue you for trying to scam me jerk, that is the only reason I'd need one.
When I said "You need to stop trying to scam people" He said to me "Scam this Mother F*&^%R" I said "I'm reporting you to the police" He said "Go ahead and try Bi*&h you won't be able to catch me". At that point I hung up on him.
The worst part of these phone calls is that there are some very naïve people out there that will believe these jerks and will loosed everything they have to them. The MUST be a way to stop these people, I just wish I knew what it was and how to do it!
I will be calling the police and reporting this call as well as calling the IRS to report them.
Same call, officer Bell, at first I was concerned because the IRS sent me a very large refund by mistake, but it was handled. Called the number back just out of curiosity and it wouldn't go through.
