Got a phone call last night about a lawsuit being filed against us and against our residence. Called back immediately and recorder said that no one could come to the phone. The name on the caller ID was a Willie Gilmore. Received a phone call from the same number last week only it was a lady. Again no response when we called the number back.
I got a call from this number and it was a computerize message telling me that my address is under federal investigation, they left a number to call back and it was a recording.
Just a follow up on this, the recording I get when I call back says "the magic jack customer you called is not available".
Magic jack is a Voip solution, I don't think the IRS would be using this system, they can afford a long distance company.
I called back the number after they left the message about being under investigation. The line was full of static. The lady proceeded to tell me the police would be showing up at my house and place of business. She asked that my husband call her back. I told her no and I thought this was a scam and she hung up.
