One of a few San Antonio numbers that have called in the last few weeks. Didn't answer but they left a message . Only part of it recorded confirming the previous assumption that it was a recorded message
These calls are from Skip Tracing firms hired by Collection companies looking for debtors. If you answer it tells them this is a working number. If you answer it will lead to further attempts to contact you. The reason the collection companies use skip tracing companies are to get past the laws concerning calls from collection companies. Skip Tracing firms will use call masking to hide their real identity and tend to use the same numbers that have been used in the past since they are proven non assigned numbers. Spread the word whenever you log these calls.
A spoofed number call from "Green Study Survey Company" from 210-504-3306. It was a recorded voice asking if I could "hear them Ok." I didn't say anything and the it just said, "Sorry to bother you today." Obvious scam. Definitely recorded voice - not a real human being on the line. Location said "San Antonio, TX" I checked into it and it is a scam do not interact with them it will cost you.
They've called me twice today, three times in the past 2 weeks. I work at an academic institution and this is my work number. The first time they called me today I identified myself and where I worked, but no one said anything. I repeated myself louder, still nothing. Then they hung up.
Just got call from 210-504-3306 to my cell phone. Call came in at 1:38pm on 4-25-16. Picked up, no voice on other side. Location says "San Antonio, TX." Googled the number and saw spam complaints - so blocked.
