Just got my first call from this number. Caller ID said Out of Area. It began with a recording of an older sounding man saying "Hello seniors!" I hung up.
This call (and anyone from "210") are typically VOIP from the internet and disguised to look like they originate from San Antonio but through VOIP they can be from anywhere in the world. This is nothing more than an attempt to get someone to provide a credit card number so a crook (most likely in Russia or China) can clone your credit card and sell it to another crook.
The calls typically might suggest you have won something or "we would like to give you a free home security system, all we ask is you put a small sign in your yard with our company name on it..." and when the moron on the other end of the line says "Yes" to the free security system, or fire alarm or smoke detectors, the crook says "the system is free but you have to pay for shipping, a small fee of $20 and we ship it to you overnight and you'll have it the following day." Then the crook explains that all they need is your credit card number in order to pay for the shipping and the free "system" will be there tomorrow...
Bottom line, if you get ANY call from ANY number that IS NOT in your personal directory and outside of your own area code, just let it go to voice-mail. Most crooks don't do "voice mail" and the crooks that do are hoping you will fall for the scam. If the call is legit, you can easily look the number up on the internet and see who the "real" caller is, but 99% of the time, it is just some crook in Russia or Nigeria or Bulgaria or China who is wanting to steal your identity....
210-627-8613 didn't work, so now they tried 210-625-3168 notice that they changed the first three numbers 627 to 625 but!!!!!! The last 4 are just backwards!!!!! Such big scum sucking pigs from the lowest form of life. They belong with terrorists, murderers, pedophiles and rapists. May they die drowning with the slime they were bred in.
