I have received several calls from
this 4-digit number (627-8613)
using different area codes.
201 is just the latest one.
No too bright. But it's
a minor problem for me b/c
I purchased a call blocker, for about
a hundred bucks,
as recommended by another poster
on this site. Money well spent, IMO.
So they just get one bite of the apple to
bother me. After the first call comes through,
I just add them to my blocked list. Game
over, until they switch area codes ... again.
Besides, if I wanted to go on a cruise, I'd
call my travel agent.
I have called ID blocking, so my number displays "Unavailable" on the receiver's caller ID display. I called this number and it rang and rang and rang until the call disconnected/terminated. Apparently, this outfit wants active phone numbers with the option to solicit while they have you on the phone.
I pay for phone service, not an anonymous stranger chat-line; I refuse to talk to strangers on the phone, which invariably includes all telemarketers.
Called my mobile phone. Left no message. Returned call using *67 prefix and recording states it is a Verizon wireless number that has been changed, disconnected or is no longer in service. If you *feel* you've reached this recording in error, please check the number and try your call again, then "Announcement 2 switch 4182-5", then call is terminated with three beeps, which is the call dropped/terminated "dial tone" sound for cell phones.
These losers use an automated dialer as is common with all of the worthless, filthy cold call companies. Since the FTC derelicts their sworn duty to uphold the law which includes the DO NOT CALL Registry, these companies now use that DO NOT CALL REGISTRY as a hot sheet for all of their cold call festivities.
