Got a call from Amanda saying I was a person of interest in a fraud case. She said she was working for some county in Arkansas and even gave a case number. Seems similar to these other posts and I am not calling back.
Lady named Amanda Bains called me looking for my sister in-law. Represented herself as from the Fraud and Worthless Checks division of Wyman Associates. Wanted me to provide her with information about a check fraud case that they needed to clear up otherwise they would issue a warrant for her arrest. Investigated this company and department on the web and its a total fraudscam. Their tactics are not legal. Debt collection is a CIVIL matter not a CRIMINAL matter - they cannot arrest you or any family member. Please ignore these people.
Got a call from this number saying they were looking for a person if Intrest which I was a known affiliate . They name she gave was someone I don't no or even heard of ... Very suspect!

I had a missed call from this number on my cell phone today. I don't know anyone in Texas and never saw this number before, so I played the voice mail but it was 7 seconds of nothing then a hang up. Seems to be suspect and probably some sort of scam. Glad I checked on here first. I blocked the number so hopefully that'll be the one and only call. Very irritating, I hate that random scammers have my cell number.
They said that I would be arrested from an account that I never paid to Aarons leasing company. They had my social security number. I have never done business with that store. Wanted me to pay out of court restitution to avoid getting arrested. I called our local store, and they had no record of my name or social. Major scam and now I'm afraid bc they already had my social!
