I did not answer. No voicemail left. Blocked.
This number has been reported elsewhere as belonging to a phishing scam. If you answer it, you will get asked for personal identifying information.
This thread has a bunch of VIPs (very informed people), esp. about how DNC works. And re: not answering bogus calls so that they won't know your line is a live one, I've taken it a step farther: I have turned off my voice mail so it doesn't pick up - ever. No problem. I check caller id's when I get home. Legit businesses have legit i.d.'s that actually tell you who they are; i recognize friends and families, and as for the numbers I don't recognize, I plug them into this website and get the scoop on them here....or not. I have also learned that the few legit numbers that i don't pick up and should have, call back fairly quickly, unlike the robocalls and scam calls that have to cycle through hundreds of numbers before yours comes up again. And finally, i have a great phone blocker to complete the team! (I have Phone Tray Pro, and that program has its own huge database of bad calls that they block automatically,) The system works. Most phone blockers also allow you to block by caller id name, or by area code or by area code+ first three numbers. That means they remain blocked no matter how they shuffle the last four numbers.
