I received a call from these people today claiming to be from Microsoft tech support. They claimed that many computers in my area were being attacked by malware and they were going to help me clean my computer.
At that point I asked them for their name and number so I could call them back.
The person claimed their name was Kevin Jordan and they worked for Tech-optimizers at the following phone number 210 767 3298
I have no idea if they are a legitimate company or not, but it sounded like a scam to me.
I just got a call from these people as well--same "guy". Indian guy with the name Kevin Jordan? Whatever. Anyway, come to find out, it IS a scam--did some research while I was on the phone with him and he was trying to tell me that it was a problem. Said that he wasn't trying to sell me something, but I've read stories that this company is bogus. Definite scam!
had the same call. have been called 3 or 4 times. when i thanked him for his phone # so that I could give it to the police he say's ' well, you just do that, goodbye'. i swear his accent even was less pronounced. this is most definately a scam.
