You got servered, huh? You know what? I think YOU'RE the mysterious Leann.
Just another part of that low-life gang of white collar crooks going around cold-calling people and telling them that they are:
(1) going to be served
(2) going to be arrested
(3) have committed bank fraud
(4) have committed check fraud
(5) that they have "warrants" out
The bank and check fraud allegations are old loans or debts which have been mysteriously and magically transformed into criminal charges. But not to worry, this gang can make it all go away if you send them money by untraceable Green dot money pak.
Ya know "leann", no one's been able to find you people, but I'm working on it.
>> I got knock on my door from the police dept. issuing the paper work to me on behalf of SCM & Assoc. <<
Um.
In one word: NO!
The police do not serve "paper work" on behalf of a lender.
However, if you think that statement is incorrect, and if you want to convince us you were served with "legal papers", you should be able to give us the information at the top of the summons, since it is now "public information".
Give us the court name and location, the name of the judge, the plaintiff's attorney's name and Bar number, and the name of the company or person that is suing you, the date you are supposed to appear, and possibly a docket number.
Can you do that, to prove your statement?
I betcha you can't. You didn't even give the physical and web address of the company that uses this phone number, so we could check their validity.
Do not bother to return and argue these points, unless you can provide the data I requested.
Leanne, are you a complete fool? You are. But we are not. Real process servers never inform the person they want to serve in advance.
But let that go. You say you got a letter from someone?
SCM and Associates was it called?
Interesting. I looked up SCM on the 800notes index/search page and guess what?
These items showed up under the same number with SCM
Scm Associates Calls by a "Mark Davis" or "Jake."
Global Processing Services Calls by a "Sasha" or "Steven".
Secure Capital Calls by a "Nick C".
Riverside Financial Call by "Mark Fischer".
Elite Processing Service Calls by "Lauran Blake".
Now.
How about giving us the name and address of this SCM place. How about giving us the name of the person who signed off on your so-called letter.
For your information, police departments do not issue paper work in civil matters. Police are never involved in the processing of civil matters. Yes, you can hire an off-duty policeman to serve process in some places. And yes, here in Los Angeles County you can pay a fee and a sheriff's deputy will serve civil process. But that's it.
No public law enforcement official "represents" any debt collector. Debt collectors have no power or arrest and no influence on the criminal justice system.
It's fraud!!!! like a dummy I paid but started to get a weird feeling about it and contacted the company that I supposedly owed money to only to find out it was fraud!!! I didn't owe anything to them and hadn't in two years the reason why I couldn't remember. I was repairing my credit and thought I might had overlooked this account from years ago. But it was a lie!!!! I was so pissed off!!! My bank reversed the charge and gave me my money back. I reported the number to the company I supposedly owed money to and also to my bank and the police department.

I got a message at work today- a call from somewhere in Texas. Oddly enough, the person they were looking for is my sister, who lives in Texas... but she doesn't have my phone number, so I'm not sure how they got my number associated with her name.
She said her name was Leanne, and that she was working with "NPS Delivery". She said she needed a call back from my number specifically to "avoid any delays in [her] company's delivery". Got in touch with my sister who said she had no idea what it was about, so I decided to look up the number online, and here we are.
