Twice in the last hour, they left recording both times. Now on the blocked list....IRS Scam, reported to https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml
We got this call this morning at 9:00 (EST). My wife answered and she was totally rattled until I told her it was a scam. I reported this to number US Treasury . I also notified No More Robo. The scammers called two more times this morning but No More Robo stopped to one ring and done .
Received an automated recording about an immediate IRS lawsuit being filed, then they hung up. I called back and person barely spoke English telling me a random IRS audit was done between the years of 2008-2012 and I owed money. I asked if any documentation has been sent to me I could review and they hung up. Guess the person didn't like the fact we not fools!
Call coming from San Antonio, Texas with a voice msg stating that the IRS is trying to contact me/us/we. ????
No caller identification name or target person mentioned just that the IRS is trying to contact.
Checked the official IRS site and reported this number but noticed that this number does not match any of the official number provided.
Got a call from this number on 10/20/15 it was a robot saying I owed money from the IRS and they are going to sue me. I never recieved a letter from IRS or anything like that. Something told me to google the number and look what I found. Be careful folks!
