Called, a male identified as John said he was from Windows and my computer was sending out error reports. I asked what his scam was and what he was trying to sell me. He said he wasn't selling anything, he was just wanting me to know my windows computer was sending out error reports. I hung up on him.
Strange Event! A telephone caller advised that my computer was in jeopardy and volunteered to run a safety scan. Yeah, RIGHT!!!!!!! I tried to hang up to end the call, my phone wouldn't hang up, In about a minute or two, two pop-ups came up on my computer, and I couldn't delete them. Attempting to close the website was futile, I couldn't immediately delete them and I couldn't even click back to the previous app on my PC. Shortly the computer came back , but with the same app. I shut the unit off. After that, the computer re-booted and is now working o.k. Some experience... I didn't know that something like that could even be done .FYI (FYI He spoke with a foreign accent-sounded Asian)
Caller claimed my computer was sending errors. I asked for more specifics and he kept repeating the same thing, like a robot. I know a scam when I hear one so I hung up!!!.
