Picked up this time. Suppose to be organization for police families. Forwarded to another person asking for my name. Hung up since the situation did not feel legal. I will call my police dept. locally and donate to their families, not with a stranger.
Do not answer ANY calls unless you know who is calling...and NEVER call them back or "press 1 to remove" it just verifies your number so it can be sold to other scammers. Robocallers and scammers can call you from anywhere in the world using VOIP (internet phone), so the feds are powerless to stop it. And they can spoof (fake) ANY callerID. You can Google "call blockers" for your home phone. For cellphones, download Avira free antivirus for Android which includes a call blocker. It's an epidemic...get used to it.
Wow... looks like they've fired up again in 2016. Caller ID says Out of Area... even though 210 IS my area. Someone mentioned the caller is soliciting donations for police. I bet it's one of those solicitations that gives a fraction of what you donate to the stated cause... with the bulk of your donation heading straight to their pockets. Blocked.
