I agree. I have received these kinds of calls off and on for several years and it seems that the people are trying very craftily to find out personal names and information to steal identities or something like that. I was asked if my name was Melody Wilson, I have been asked if my name is Nancy, or Michelle and other N or M names. It seems to be that they are trying to make connections with personal info, phone numbers and asking for a fake name is in efforts to get your real personal information.
Got a call from this number and called it back- there was a message about financial solutions and if I wanted to make a payment to press a number. I hung up. I have received similar calls on my voicemail on my cell phone. I was told to call the number back in reference to a file they had received. I was very suspicious since when I called the number, the playback message again said that it was a financial solutions company and not this John Taylor person that all the messages kept saying I needed to call back as soon as possible. When I asked what this was about, I was irritated and said I had got a message from John Taylor's office about a file...the woman then asked for my number, I reluctantly gave it to her and she acted like she was looking up something on the computer. Then, she said okay I found it, is your name Melody Wilson? I said no very suspicously and we both hung up.
